Microthin E-Series film keeps heat in during the cold winter months. And holds cool air during hot summers. While controlling glare, it blocks more than half of incoming solar energy and cuts out 99% of the sun's damaging ultraviolet radiation, all year long. LLumar films reduce the fading of your furnishings. In other words, LLumar E-Series virtually predicts the weather and responds to it. But E-Series was designed to react that way. Instinctively. As a low-emittance film, it has a thin semitransparent metallic layer that doesn't let valuable heat slip out, but reflects it back into a room. Without this low-emittance surface, a regular window will conduct much of the heated air inside to the outside, driving up heating costs. Adding this film to single-pane or to even better-insulated double-pane windows, will increase the wintertime R-value by more than 30% (see bar graph bottom of page).

In addition to reflecting up to 65% of the radiant heat loss back into the room, which cuts energy costs for heating by as much as 27%, E-Series will reflect 61-79% of solar energy from outside. The film will also help a building's air conditioning to function more efficiently.

A Beauty That Doesn't Bruise
The aesthetics of LLumar E-Series films brings a look of distinction to an office or home.
And there's real strength in that beauty, thanks to the patented scratch-resistant layer that protects it. With this special layer, you can be confident, knowing your film will look good for years to come. The majority of competitive films on the market are so sensitive, they can be scratched during application and during normal maintenance and cleaning. Not E-Series from Courtaulds Performance Films.

So Thin You Can See Straight Through It
Windows don't have to be closed in or covered up to make them more energy efficient. The beauty of
E-Series films is their ability to give a building or home an attractive new exterior appearance - yet leave the view of the outside world open and clear, without glare. It's like having a roll of insulation so thin you can see straight through it.

An Added Margin of Safety
E-Series films also offer a decided advantage for safety - this thin film helps hold glass together when it's shattered by natural or man-made causes. For the safety of employees or families, and even for security, keeping glass from breaking into dangerous shards can play an important role.

How E-Series Film Is Made
E-Series film is composed of an ultraviolet absorbing. layer, joined to a layer of window film by a laminating adhesive, then topped by a low-emittance metallic layer and the protective scratch-resistant coating. Films are installed with Courtaulds' exclusive CDF adhesive system, a superior trouble-free seal that's clear and distortion free.

All LLumar E-Series films are warranted against cracking, peeling, and demetallizing for a lifetime!
